Story
About
"Story" is the name of TraceTracker's GTNet web portal. The portal is highly configurable per customer organization and per individual user. Such configuration may change the look & feel (graphics, colors, fonts etc) in the application as well as structural layout and query parameters towards the backend nodes.
Concepts
- Widgets - these are small independent applications with relative narrow scope and functionality. A given user may have access to one or more widgets and can add, move or remove them from his configuration and the dashboards he have configured
- Dashboard - this is the name of the screen space in Story where the widgets operate, similar to the desktop on a PC. A user can have several dashboards configured, each with different widgets and/or with different configurations on each of the widgets. The combined configuration of dashboards and widgets are always stored pr. node for each user
- Node - a node is a GTNet TIX/EPCIS instance owned by a customer and his organization. Any user may be given access to one or more nodes, also outside his own organization. Story must always connect to one node, and the user selects node from a node dropdown menu on top. A user is logged into Story only one time for each browser session, so switching nodes does not require a new login dialog.
