Construction of IDs
Crop Tab
The crop takes the structure of:
urn:gtnet:id:batch:OrganizationId.CropTypeId.ParentCropId.PlantingDate.TimeStamp
Where:
urn:gtnet:id:batch - Is a constant text found in the crop ID that identifies it as a batch.
OrganizationID - Refers to the ID of the organization that the current logged-in user belongs to. This value is retrieved from the LDAP
CropTypeId - Is the value selected in the Crop Type control in the Crop field-set under the Crop tab. This is retrieved from the MDS
ParentCropId - Refers to the value selected in the Parent Crop Type drop-down in the Crop field-set under the Crop tab. This is retrieved from the MDS
PlantingDate - Refers to the date the crop was planted. It is the value selected in the Date when crop was planted date-picker in the Crop tab.
TimeStamp - Refers to the current time in milliseconds that the record is being created.
To the user the ID is presented this way:
urn:gtnet:id:batch:0800002873.CropType-6.ParentCrop-3_201301011366629315
Landing Page
On the landing page, under the Crop column, the ID is shortened. It contains only the ParentCropId, the PlantingDate and the TimeStamp. The ParentCropId is replaced with the actual parent crop name. So it appears this way:

Grow Tab
The ID generated under the Grow tab, regardless of the process, takes the form:
urn:gtnet:id:batch:OrganizationId.grow-.CropTypeId.GrowTypeId.GrowDate
Where:
grow- - Is a constant text to help easily identify the ID as being a result of a Grow process.
GrowType - Refers to the ID of the process applied under the Grow tab. This could be Fertilization, Herbicide, Irrigation etc.
GrowDate - Refers to the date the grow process was applied. It is the value selected under the Start date-picker under the Grow tab.
To the user, the ID is presented this way:
urn:gtnet:id:batch:0800002873.grow-CropType-30.Fertilization-20120601
Harvest Tab
The ID generated here takes the form:
urn:gtnet:id:batch:OrganizationId.harvest-.CropType.ParentCropId._.HarvestDate.TimeStamp
Where:
harvest- - Is a constant text that aids in easy identification of the ID as being a result of a harvest.
HarvestDate - Refers to the date the harvest was done. It is the value selected in the Harvest Date date-picker under the Harvest tab.
To the user, the ID is presented this way:
urn:gtnet:id:batch:0800002873.harvest-CropType-1.ParentCrop-1_201305151368792744
Products Tab
The ID generated here takes the form:
urn:gtnet:id:EpcStandard.OrganizationId.CropType.QuantityInEachItemPackage._.PackagingDate.TimeStamp
Where:
EpcStandard - Refers to the standard selected by the user in the administration page.
QuantityInEachItemPackage - Is the value selected in the Quantity in item/unit/package drop-down
PackagingDate - Refers to the harvest packing date. It is the value selected in the Packing Date date-picker in the Sorting and Packing field-set under the Harvest tab.
To the user, the ID is presented this way:
urn:gtnet:id:sgtin:0800002873.cropType-2.apples-500Kilogramscrate_2012-06-28133920
Shipment Tab
IDs generated from this section are in the form of:
urn:gtnet:EpcStandard.OrganizationId.CropType.ShippingDate.TimeStamp
Where:
ShippingDate - Refers to the value selected in the Date shipped date-picker.
To a user, the ID is presented in this form:
